ABOUT
When starting a social media strategy, a lot of research and planning needs to be done. Therefore, I wrote a report about social media trends and best practices within a higher education context. I also included a management plan with information on content topics, target audience, key stakeholders, etc.
Measuring the success of a social media strategy is crucial, especially when it is used as a recruiting tool. Therefore, I wrote a report on how our social media channels should be tracked. I included our goals and objectives, programmatic and channel-specific metrics, as well as a section on working with Hootsuite.
In order to assess how other UC universities' social media compares to UCR IEP's sites, I created a peer analysis reports which includes information on our peer's use of social media.
As part of my Marketing and Recruitment course, my team and I developed a Marketing and Recruitment Strategy for the Study Abroad Office in Loyola Marymount University. The recruitment plan was targeted to first-generation college students, a population that is often underrepresented in study abroad. As part of this project we had to segment our target market, create a S.W.OT analysis, and identify S.M.A.R.T goals.
As part of my Design and Assessment course, my team and I worked with the Seattle-based non-profit organization OneWorld Now! We created a package of activities focusing on reflection and team-building to be integrated in a holistic manner throughout their entire five-week summer program. Using the Program Logic Model, we ensured our project met the organization's mission and vision, as well as satisfy student needs.
As part of the International Education Policy course I took, I analyzed a World Bank Education Policy Report about Colombia from 2012. I created an Analysis report with my findings and conclusions.
During my internship at the United National Development Program (UNDP) I translated and helped proofread webstories, reports, and other documents that were written in English and Spanish. Click the link to view the 2013-2014 Annual Report I helped proofread and browse the UNDP's website.

ABOUT ME
Languages have always fascinated me. Over the years, I have learned to speak and write in four different languages: Spanish, English, French, and Mandarin.
This passion for learning new languages and about other cultures started since I was very young and grew even stronger when I moved from Colombia to the United States. I came to Los Angeles, a multicultural hub. Since then, I have been moving between cultures and languages, learning as much as I can.
My travels around the U.S, Colombia, Mexico and France sparked my interest in international education and multicultural environments. So after I received my B.A in Languages from the University of California, Riverside, I went to the Middlebury Institute of International Studies to continue my professional development and earn a Master's degree in International Education Management.
WHAT I'VE DONE
I am currently the Global Internships Program Coordinator at Intrax.
